My Experience...

Warm, Lightweight and foolproof.

About as good as you can get for a warm belay jacket. No wind gets though and the quantum pertex shell keeps snow out and allows rain to bead up and roll off.

I wouldn't wear this outside of a rain shell if it were raining hard, but it does what a down jacket is supposed to do.

The only downside of my particular jacket is that is it a shiny charcoal silver color with bright orange on the inside. The orange inside is great for locating packets in the jacket in the dark but the silver outside makes me look like a freak space suit wearing person thing.

I love this jacket.
