An insulating layer that works under a shell, or as a windproof outer layer. Great for high output activities where you may need some wind protection, but need more breathability than a waterproof shell may allow.

Durable 100% polyester Windstopper® Microfleece shell.
100% Windbreak knit polyester is bonded to the micro fiber fleece for added protection.
Gore Windstopper® laminate is both totally windproof and very breathable.
Polyester Tricot Knit liner - Hollow insulating fibers form a knit which is brushed on one side. The moisture dispensing knit keeps skin drier, warmer and more comfortable.
Zips into Confluence Parka (#32182).
Windproof front, back and outside of sleeves
Air permeable, 4-way stretch side and underarm panels for increased freedom of movement.
Hidden Polartec® Power Stretch® cuffs.
Hem and neck drawcords keep the elements out and the warmth in.
Chest high zippered hand pockets.
Avg. wt. 1lb 3oz.

10 out of 10
I have found this Jacket to be the perfect balance of wind stopping and breathability. In my opinion, MH's advertising is spot on for this product. I wore this jacket the whole time I did kelso ridge, when it was cold and windy on one side of the ridge, and warm and sunny on the other side; it kept me the perfect temperature the whole time, and I never felt restricted at all.

Pros.
~ Takes a huge bite out of the wind.
~ Breathes very well for a wind stopper fleece
~ Cuffs that seal, but dont cut off circulation
~ Fit and design of soft shell panels allow great flexibilty while climbing.

Cons
~ I wish it compressed more.

Overall, this is my favorite jacket

Great Fleece
Man, this thing will keep you plenty warm at 40 degree temps while your hiking and breaths well enough to take you into 50 to 60 degrees while working out hard. Of course you will sweat, but this jacket seems to get rid of all of your sweat.

Awesome Jacket.
Great jacket. Tapered great to fit the body naturally. Really cuts the wind and warms you up for being so light and thin.
