Product Description
Supposedly one of BD's most compact trekking poles. As poles, they are sturdy and work fine. I have no complaints here. The Switchbacks never collapse when I hike with them.However, since I bought the Switchbacks I've never been able to get the lower section of the pole to collapse. This is a problem only when one tries to take the poles on a flight.

Pretty good...
pole for the money. Top portion of pole adjusts easily. Push botton adjustment for bottom portion of the pole is tricky at times. May have to turn lower portion until it will telescope out. I have two pairs and am generally satisfied.

Nice poles
I am a big guy at 6'1" and 225. No problems with these collapsing on me. They collapse short enough to strap to the outside of your pack.

Sturdy
I like that the upper lock is a lever rather than a button. For lower button, pull down a little, then push up to collapse. Comfortable rubber grips.

No robustness
After 2 years use the lower push button of one pole stop working. The pole's lower part fell apart. I fix it with a small screw, but that part never collapses. I like the upper locker mechanism. These poles are a bit too heavy compared to other products in the same price range.
