I've only used it twice and never in snow yet but I could say that these poles are strong enough for hiking or climbing commitments. The grip is soft and seems to be durable. The strap is wide enough when you wear big gloves. The tip is strong and the interchangeable basket system is very useful with different types of snow. A contra could be that they are very light so I think they are not best things for a very heavy mountaineer.
