General review

These trekkers have been my go-to for hiking, skiing, mountaineering, you name it. The flicklock design prevents collapse while putting downward pressure hiking uphill. I found with the rubber gripped BD poles that are one price level lower, that I was wearing blisters into my thumbs and had to wrap my thumbs to prevent this. Ever since going to cork, no more problems. I particularly enjoy the foam wrap below the grips for uphill climbs, both for grip and when on snow keeping my hands from getting cold. Both the summer and winter baskets are adequate for what they are needed for given the season and I haven't had major problems losing them. The fact that the poles are collapsible makes it easy to break down for glissades or easy packing. No qualms, and possibly the last pair I'll ever need.
