Model 220 : Back Country Hiker

 

The Dion Snowshoe Model 220 is a Hiking Snowshoe which has the same modular design as our their models. This model offer sthe best support for hikers w/packs. It has best floatation or FSA (functional surface area) of all the models and is constructed with ¾” Aluminum Aircraft Alloy tubing. A dual heel plate coupled with additional decking support, provides additional durability in deep powder or rough terrain.



The decking is made from an abrasion resistant material that is both flexible and strong. The basic binding provides a comfortable fit and will keep your foot straight.



The deep cleat provides excellent traction in deep snow. It is made of aircraft aluminum and has a Teflon Hard Coat to resist sticky snow.



This model consists of a Model 220 frame, basic binding, and a Deep cleat. The modular design of all Dion Snowshoes will allow you adapt this model to changes in conditions, terrain, or ability.
