Atlas 8-series snowshoes are ideal for adventure trail hiking. The 825 model is designed to carry 120-200 lbs. Strong, aircraft-grade aluminum frames and abrasion-resistant Nytex™ decks are impervious to the cold, and soft, comfortable EZ8™ bindings' clamshell design eliminates pressure points. Molded-in arch support offers comfort on longer hikes

Fast-Loc™ buckles are easy to put on and take off.

Durable, stainless-steel 8-Trac™ toe crampons provide a secure grip on icy slopes; patented heel cleat for downhill braking traction. Double-reinforced heel-strike area and rugged urethane binding suspension offer long-wearing durability

Recommended load specification includes weight of hiker and their gear. (Information gathered from www.rei.com).

These snowshoes are nearly identical to the Atlas 830 model but are designed shorter and one inch narrower for smaller framed people. They are excellent in ease of use, load distribution, and are perfect for day trips, peak bagging, or winter backpacking.

I bought my first pair of shoes Five years ago. They were the Atlas 825's. I now also have a pair of 1030's for the deep stuff. I'm on my third pair of 825's and only had to buy one pair.......Hmmmm How can any company stay in biz with such a great warranty! "Lifetime"

Good Performance
I've had mine for several years and they've worked well for general over-all use. They grab well even on relatively steep traverses. They are large in size compared with some other similar models. Once in a awhile, I've needed to exert extra elbow grease to get my boot snug into the front of the binding. But on the whole, I've been pleased with the 825.
