Best All Around Pants! Just Size Up!
I love these pants!
One of the best outdoor pants I've ever worn or rather been able to wear comfortable all year 'round from 80 degree hikes to subzero x country ski days!

PROS: Light weight of course; Somewhat durable (or more durable than you would expect from a paclite product); Ventilation leg zip system is easy to open and close during hike; Roomy pockets that actually hold stuff; Elastic gaitor-band on hem keep pants in place over boots without the need for a full set of gaitors. Velcro adjust tabs everywhere (waists and ankles) makes layering possible and comfy without needing to buy an extra pair of pants. NOT Made In China!!! woot woot! Mines says Made in Romania...which may be a good thing...I guess. Price! At $129 these are a deal!

CONS: Sizing is off. At 5'8"/150lbs/32-33" waist I usually wear medium in everything but I was a Large in the Taku's. Expect to size up. I HATE PacLite with a passion! Unless you are attending a picnic in Central Park during July, PacLite should have no business in the serious elements of the outdoors! Everything PacLite that I've owned shredded on the first or second trip out in the field. Either that or the DWR dissappeared entirely after one wash cycle (Could also be that most of the PacLite gear I've bought came from TNF brand)! Anyway, I've had these Takus for a year and a half and yes, the PacLite has a few holes around the knees and cuffs but it has held out far better than I would have imagined. Which is sad, because I've grown to love these pants and had I known Mammut would've stop importing these to the USA a few months after my purchase I would've bought 4 pairs of them (You could still find these at UK online stores but expect to double up your US Dollars against the Euro prices).
Great pants overall! 5 stars!
