A must have for the Heli-Ski folks.
PROS: Tons of features. One of the best hoods ever. Quality construction. Great cut and silky smooth movement. Ski skirt is removable. Really warm jacket, strictly for winter or cold spring outings when layered above a fleece or down vest.

CONS: Heavy, much heavier than you would expect. Given the lenght of this coat and the placement of a secure hem cinch I thought the ski skirt was not really needed. A little too much orange for me. Price: 549 Euros equals how much USD!?

BOTTOM LINE: Great Jacket for Skiiers with deep pockets and plenty of friends to impress. Could've trim down on some old school features like the non-mesh 2 layer GTX lining material, the thick storm flaps over the main zip, and one less pocket. This would subtract a lb or so off this jacket. Which really felt more of a winter coat to me and less of an all season alpine acsent Jacket.
That said, If you do lots of serious back country skiing where you need to do a tedious "bushwack" ascent on your own in deep powder with crampons, snowshoes, etc... before you descent the other side on skiis (or those extreme Heli-skiing stunts) this is the perfect jacket. Anything less extreme than that it becomes an expensive, heavy jacket you don't really need.
