To take advantage of this camera, you must know the basics of photography. If you do, this is the camera you are looking for.
It gives you the complete control while being reasonably compact. How about manual focus capability, 28-85 mm lens, metal body, big screen, bulb-1/4000 sec shutter speed, excellent photometer?
I am still excited by the accuracy of the photometer and the quality of exposure this camera is capable of. After more than 3500 mountain shots with Coolpix 5000, I can only urge you to get one. They are cheap now!

Untitled ReviewAfter two years I am more comfortable with this camera. Outdoors it is great I have no complaints and am very satisfied with the results. Aconcagua is one result this is anotherAconcagua West Face is another.
Indoors for family gatherings it has proved troublesome. But I am getting the hang of it. I spent the main part of a Miami to Santiago flight reading up booklet that comes with the camera and can use it outdoors comfortably.
