Coolpix 5600

I love this camera. It is lightweight and compact. Everything I need for the mountains. Takes great night shots and panoramas. I love the video feature with sound for the action moments. I have a 1g card for mine and can take hundreds of pics and a great deal of video too. I purchased the extended warranty so if I drop it or get it wet then it will be replaced.

I think this is a quality camera especially for the price. It is compact and lightweight so it can easily be pocketed to keep from having to pull it out your pack or having a heavy clunky camera hanging from your neck. This camera takes great pics and can even take a beating. I have dropped mine a few times hiking and while it has a few scratches it still takes the same high quality pics as it did before. With its durability and compact size it is a perfect camera for hiking.

A great camera, USE LITHIUM BATTERIES and you will not be dissapointed with the battery life and performance.
