Approach
The ascent of the mountain starts at the small village of Hollbruck, which you reach from Kartitsch in the Tyrol Gailtal Valley. Follow the "Getting There" Instructions on the main page

The ascent along the northern ridge of Zenser Spitze and Hollbrucker Spitze is by far the more demanding of the two ascent routes. It first climbs very steeply through a forest starting at the village Hollbruck and ending at the Eggwiesen meadow (2100m) From there on the trail (marked 15) leads over grassy or rocky terrain towards Zenser Spitze. From the north this summit looks rather impressive while from the south it appears to be just a grassy hill. The Sepp Innerkofler Trail circumvents Zenser Spitze on its western side and the descends in the direction od a small unnamed lake.
Here you can decide between two ascent routes. The direct one (marked 15A) climbs directly to Hollbrucker Eck along its northeastern flank. This is a very steep ascent, though without any serious difficulties. The other route (marked 15) heads for a bivouac where it turns sharply to the right and heads upwards to the southern ridge of Hollbrucker Eck. Here a short exposed trail leads to the summit.
