Reach the E face of La Milanera (1.792 m) and continue ascending to the Col 1.754 m, between the Point 1.819 m (right) and Tres Cestos (1.783 m). Pass to the W side of the col and continue ascending leaving Cuerda (ridge) de las Milaneras to the right. Leave a wood to the left and turn right (N), continue NE wards passing Cancho Centeno (1.909 m) to the left. The is now less steep, reach Collado del Miradero (1.878 m - 4h 15min).

Continue NE wards taking the PR 2 trail, leave Collado de Matasanos (1.963 m) to the right and continue on the W slope of Alto de Matasanos. Ascend NW wards and finally leave PR 2 ascending on the SW flank of Peña Linderas (2.109 m) to the top. 5h.

Descent

The descent could be done in the same route (3h 30min) or on the PR2.

From Collado del Miradero (1.878 m) take the PR 2 trail descending S wards in Circo (cirque) de la Pedriza to Los Llanos firstly and then to Llano (flat) del Peluca and Canto Cochino. 3h 15 min. The trail is in the wood from Collado del Miradero (1.878 m).

Essential Gear

Take crampons and ice axe early in the season. Wear warm clothes too and be careful because of the hot in summer, some days could be too much torrid, so wear a cap and carry enough water. La Pedriza has a complicated relief so it's not difficult to get lost without a map. Take also a compass and altimeter.
