A great lightweight general mountaineering axe. Forged carbon steel head. Aluminum alloy shaft and alloy spike. A good all-around performer. Recommended for all uses, except severe ice climbing. Avg Wt. 1 lb. 6 oz.

Not a bad all-around performer. Not the lightest axe out there, but not that heavy either....a nice balance. It's comfortable to hold (usually in the self-arrest grip for me), and after a few climbs, it looks as if you've had it for a few years. The spike penetrates well, and the pick works good for self arrest. I must admit I've never used the adze, so I can't comment on that. I wish the hole on the pick was a little larger for a leash, and that the head didn't rust....outside of that, a good axe...

A good axe but not so good ice axe. This is a mountaineering axe that weigh a little bit, but not as Pamir Plus. Also could be useful for high level ski mountaineering if you don't mind to burden a lot. However I've not used it too much so that's all.

Excellent general purpose ice axe. Carries the european technical and basic ice axe certification. I sharpened my spike, adze and teeth and used the axe for moderate technical routes with an ice hammer. I don't think there is a better performer for the price.

Great Ice Axe. Definitely recommend this ice axe. It stands up to everything from everyday use to pounding in pickets into icy snow. Wouldn't recommend the air racer over this one. It is alot lighter however only good if you are willing to sacrifice the strength of the head.

Great all around axe. Feel like I saved a-lot of money without sacrificing any major performance.

Head rusts up in rainy weather but it rubs off. It has stood up to lots of abuse and after the first few uses it doesn's show any additional wear.

Will hold onto this one for the duration!

Great general mountaineering Axe. Have used it since 2002 and has held up well. The head does rust but is easily cleaned. Solid feel and build.
