Jorasses
Head: One-piece forged Chromoly steel, hand-polished with teeth the entire length of the pick and a Neo-Classical blade. The modified reverse-curve inclination means the blade can be swung naturally and offers superb anchorage in varied types of ice; the sharp change of angle near the tip allows easy removal of the blade from even the deepest placements. The top of the pick is rounded and is very comfortable to handle. The round hole will take a carabiner. The flat, "button-hole" lets you sling the wrist-leash through the pick and keep the shaft clean for driving into hard snow.
Shaft construction: Ergal 7075 light alloy corresponding to DIN and UIAA norms; two piece construction (with the lower section being a smaller circumference) allows us to make the natural rubber grip flush with the upper shaft. Leash hole in the shaft, technical wristleash.

Jorasses is a well- balanced ice axe with a very efficient and economic swing. It is solidly built, sturdy enough for professional users; a modern guide's right hand.

All round sturdy ice axe, handles well in all kind of alpine terrain, with near perfect weight balance.
Long enough for traverse anchoring and short enough to make use of its excellent semi-technical curved ice pick. Comfortable handleash is fully adjustable (although somewhat clumsy to do so with gloves on).
