Using a Gore Windstopper laminate, the Pamir stops the wind in it's track, ending the goose bump explosion and adding several degrees of warmth. Reinforced where it counts and cut for movement, the Pamir Parka was made for climbing and cold weather activities requiring breathability, windproofness, warmth, flexibility and comfort.

Not a bad little jacket, although a little on the heavy side. It's good for semi-cold weather outings if you're working up a big sweat, as it's not an overly warm jacket. It's billed as an ice climbing jacket.....which I can see, but definitely bring a belay jacket if you're wearing this one. However, throw this jacket underneath a hard shell jacket (as well as your other layers), and that's one warm combination. But, at around 2 pounds, this jacket stays at home most of the time time, as if I want something warm to put underneath my shell, I'll just bring a synthetic jacket which is much lighter. Good jacket for ice climbs just off the road or trailhead, though...

Good jacket, very warm if used as part of a layering system. Its become mostly redundant since i've turned to soft shell, but still comes out when walking in the Lake District, as it can be comfortably worn without making you to hot. The down side to this jacket is the pack size.

Just a good windproof jacket. I wear it in wintertime in combination with a TNF Mountain light jacket.
