Advanced braiding technique stabilizes the yarns for a consistent feel over the rope's useful life--superb handling characteristics

Kernmantle construction from U.S. manufactured premium quality materials effectively absorbs falls
Fluoropolymer dry treatment penetrates to the core and bonds with rope fiber to retard moisture gain without affecting rope performance
Friction-reducing finish extends the life of the rope
Meets or exceeds UIAA tests for falls, impact force and elongation
Lightweight, water-resistant climbing rope designed for the double-rope technique of 2 ropes clipped alternately into protection. Proponents of the double-rope technique feel it provides less rope drag--particularly on zig zag routes and greater safety from sharp edges. Doubling the ropes also allows longer rappels, as the full length of the rope can be used.. Made in USA.

Maxim has always been a supple rope and this double dry remains the same throughout it's life time. Just a pleasure to work with and ideal for long alpine work or casual mountaineering. I put this rope to the test over 4 seasons. The only reason why I'm retiring mine was due to rockfall damage. 9mm doubles are in a class of their own. Be brave....take the leap of faith from the 10.5's!

I'm a bit confused about the product we're reviewing here. Both Maxim (US) and Mammut (Swiss) are rope manufacturers and I'm not aware of a Mammut rope named Maxim?!
