Product Description
Enertia Trail Foods is one of the only dehydrated foods that I can actually stomach while on the mountain. For me, typical meals produced by other companies such as Mountain House, Harvest Foodworks, Backpacker's Pantry and AlpineAire are too spicy. Trail Foods are all about taste and calories and my wife finds some of their entrees so good she will actually take them to work for lunch. Each meal is approximately 4 ounces, packs 400 calories and most can be cooked directly in the pouch.
Their products are sold at over 250 locations in the US as well as over the Internet. Sample cases containing one of each of their available meals can also be ordered.

Four starsThat being said, most of the meals are more than flavorful enough and, in general, very tasty. They are also generously portioned. It's almost all I can do to finish one off.
A few favorites:
Maple Bulgar Breakfast (be prepared to be full for a while)
Max Pack Mac & Cheese
Moosilauke Goulash
Mackenzie Chowder
Rainier Rice (Mixed with Mountain House Chili Mac this makes fantastic burritos)
