Breeze Dry-Tec U.L. Sleeping Bag Cover

This is an extremely lightweight bag cover that packs down to the size of a regular coffee mug. For purposes of sizing I'm a six-footer weighing in at 170 pounds. This regular sized bag cover fits my regular sized Marmot Sawtooth nicely. Getting in was easier than I thought it would be. Slide in the sleeping bag, lay it on your pad, and shimmy in from the top. Once you curl your head into the cowling, pull the drawstring from your left shoulder down and across your chest and you are in.

It is VERY light and thin. The labels warn that it is not designed to stand up to a lot of friction on rough surfaces and advises users to use a mat or ground cloth between the bag cover and the ground. For the weight trade-off, I believe this is a reasonable compromise. The Marmot lofted nicely inside, so I anticipate this will breathe well. If you have a down bag (versus a synthetic) this should work better than a traditional bivy sack in terms of moisture control. I'll update this after my trip to Hood later this month.
