Approach
After turning onto the Boulder Basin Road, go right when the road splits and follow this road upstream as long as your little heart desires. Most people stop dead in their tracks after two miles or so. Follow the road which turns into a faint jeep trail, and then into a poorly maintained trail eventually, until reaching the Boulder Basin and historic Boulder City.

Route Description
Directly above, to the south, of Boulder City, a quite steep couloir leads to the east ridge of Boulder Peak. Due to the angle and elevation of this route, the couloir often holds snow much later then other areas which may either make for good footing or horrifying ice sheets. Nonetheless, head straight up the couloir which eventually leads you to the eastern ridge of Boulder Peak. Once on the eastern ridge, turn west and that will lead you to the summit.

Essential Gear
It is suggested if attempting the north couloir when there is snow to bring all neccessary ice climbing equipment.
