Re: I'veI'm happy to show you the images. The path is very short but it's nice. I never walked it because I travelled always searching summits but we went to Lescun and it's near. It was a nice day.

Re: I'veone idea: you could transform this album to a "route", with short abstract of the history of this path, and attach it to all peaks to which it give potential access

Re: I'veThe idea is good but the peaks with pottencial access don't exists in SP and I don't climbed Pic d'Ayous, the most important to connect. Another posibility is Gazies but I only climbed Sesques some years ago. The problems with Pic Sesques is the very important slope to gain from all the routes. The shortest route need 1900m to gain fron the East (I don't have here the map and I don't remember the name of the Bois of trailhead... it's near of Portalet). From Etsaut you need to gain 2000m!!!!!!! and if you use the chemin de la mature you need a very very long day to reach the summit. Only a few of people climb from Etsaut. If I climb this year Pic Ayous from Bious Artigues (the last time with a lot of rain we did'nt climb) it's an interesting possibility to include this route of chemin de la mature in that peak, it's the obvious combination and some mountaineers had use this long but nice route to climb it. I'll wait to climb Ayous
thank you for your interest

Re: I'veAnyway, a route doesn't have to be linked to peaks after all...
I've been on Pic d'Ayous once a long time ago, but from the Ossau valley and Ayous lake. Perhaps I'll add it one of these days so you can turn it into a route to it ! :)
I'll search some historical facts about Chemin de la Mature if you want, so you can add it in the page.
