NW Face route from Lake Victoria

On April 2, 2015 Matt Lemke took Josh and I with him to climb Cashmere from its NW face via Lake Victoria. The route to the lake was brushy and full of down timber from old fires making it reminiscent of Cannon mountain's N Ridge. There was a faint trail in places but was easily lost. Walking on logs helped but proved treacherous at times. Snow beginning at about 5,000' made the going easier and once across the frozen lake the second half of the route ended up as a cool snow-climb. We managed to avoid almost all the scrambling by sticking to the NW face and exited via the standard route to avoid the brush on our return in the dark. Cashmere is easily the best view of the Enchantments/Stuart Range I have ever seen. We ended up doing about 6,500' gain and 15 miles round-trip.

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
