Z-pulley set-up

As part of the 2014 BOEALPS Basic Climbing Class we lower students into a crevasse on Mount Rainier's Nisqually Glacier. While their teammate is in the crevasse, the rest of their rope team is on the surface setting up a z-pulley to haul the climber out of the crevasse. We had two rope teams working side-by-side.
