Approach

Start in Polur village on border of Haraz road simmilary to south routh. But from Polur you must go by a strong car to west side of mount.

Route Description

Day 1: You get a strong auto in Polur village. After about 2 hours you reach to start climbig point and you must to land. name of this point is "Parking" پارکینگ.
From this point you see the west shelter, Simorgh shelter ( پناهگاه سیمرغ). After 2.5 hours climbing you reach the shelter. The route is easy and clear and you see the shelter .
This shelter is very good and famiuse: This is Simorgh shelter at 4200 m.
There are some good places for your tent. See sunset from this shelter and enjoy.

Day 2 : From this shelter to top of the peak almost takes 6 hours long, with a heavy knapsack. The route is abvios. the route from the shelter to the top is in this persian character: ع

This route is an easy rocky ridge and has 2 parts. First part is after Simorgh shelter and is longer.
Second part is smaller but difficalt, because it have placed above 5200 m. and reach to top .

There is a last small part to reach the top. It is a hard sandy route and when tired climbers reach to that point, probebly the weather is windy or stormy.

Above this sandy hill, you reach to Damavand peak (5671 m ). If you have climbed with your knapsack, you can return from any other routes, Otherwise you must return from the same rocky ridge that you've climbed to top .
