Approach

Finding the trailhead is easy compared to the rest of the peaks in the range (Besides Borah)

Take US-93 North 15.9 miles from Mackay
Turn east and follow the road till it ends (A little ways up the drainage)

Route Description

From the end of the road follow the creek to about 7700 feet. From there stay to the right as much as possible. You will avoid bushwhacking and can actually get on a old jeep trail which will lead you into the basin.

From the basin, you want to head for the saddle. Stay to the right side as the rock is pretty solid.

When you reach the saddle you will want to start heading east along the ridge where you will encounter 3 towers. The first you will go over the top of. The second you will pass on the north (left) side. The third you will have to downclimb a little bit and pass on the right side (south)

From there you hit the crux of the climb a 1,000 foot face that will require some rather intense scrambling. You will find various ledges that will lead you to the top.

On the descent follow the same route untill you hit the saddle. From there you will want to go further to the west and get into the scree field. This portion is a blast the scree is really loose and you can just sail down it.

Essential Gear

Helmet would be good
