Alex, I just came across your article regarding Ian McKeever. Just a word of thanks for having the courage to write this because I know that it left you a little exposed to unwarranted criticism. He is a guy who makes me as angry as he has made you unfortunately I was the guy who introduced him to the mountains through a charity mountain project I set up here 10 years ago which he later took full credit for in his book after completing the Seven Summits. The only thing he did for us was some PR. However I don't know whether you heard but he was killed on Kilimanjaro a week ago, struck by lightening while leading a large group up that mountain. Sickeningly, he is been treated like a national hero over here. I noticed that comments ceased after the 31st comment (rebuttal comment). Is there a reason for this? Are you contactable by email? John
