I'm new to climbing, and looking to change this. I've been hiking for as long as I can remember, and scrambling up some of the peaks in the Wallowa Mountains in Oregon is something I've become accustomed to, but now I'd like to learn the more technical side of things. In 2012 I climbed Rainier (via the DC route) for the first time and I absolutely loved it. I'm looking to get outside more often, and hopefully meet up with some experienced climbers who can teach me a thing or two about rock climbing and mountaineering. While my primary interest is mountaineering (I'd love to go up Baker or Shuksen sometime) I am also interested in learning about traditional rock climbing. I think I'm a fairly quick learner, and I keep myself in pretty good shape, so if you're looking for a partner and are prepared to help teach me a thing or two about climbing, please contact me!
