A Little About Me
I have been an active member in the Spokane Mountaineers (SMI) for 33 years, and have served as committee chairs, President (2-2 year terms), Secretary for 6.5 years, and am the clubs Historian. I began skiing at the age of 5 (66 years ago), and xc skiing for 59 years. I completed the SMI Mountain School in 1985 and climbed seriously until a climbing accident on Chimney Rock. Other sports I participate in are kayaking, mountain biking, rollerblading, some backpacking, and enjoy tough day hikes into the American Selkirks, and the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness, among others.
