OfflineA Little About Me
Though it’s been 10 years since my 1997 trek to Gannett Peak, not a week has gone by that I have not thought back to both the spectacular panoramas, nor the intense physical grind against 50 miles of trail and 13,804 feet of elevation that one experiences to reach Wyoming’s highest point.
I put together this trip report to mark the anniversary, but mostly to encourage others to make this challenging trek. (The trip report is linked at the very bottom of this page.).
Now that I am living in Alexandria, Virginia and so busy being married, raising two dear children and working in real estate development, it may be a while before I get back to the summit. Nevertheless, I do plan on taking my children to my favorite camping spot along the trail to Gannett Peak as soon as they are old enough to carry a pack. Anyone thinking about a trip to Gannett Peak who might have known me in Penfield, Cornell, Darden / The University of Virginia, Houston or New Orleans please get in touch. Charlie Lyons
