Approach

Follow instruction for "How to get to Buisson/Chamois" in Main Page section.

Route Description

Arrived in Chamois (1836 mt.), do not follow for ski resort. Take E direction for "Vallone di Chamois". It is not very easy to find, but try to follow what is an unpaved road in summertime, heading to Alp Foresus (2099 mt.). A good help is follow toward "le Grand Dent" a characteristic rocky dent, deep down Vallone di Chamois.

Once arrived at Foresus Alp, follow the road to reach a very large plateau. Head for it leaving road and cross this area leaving an icy snowfilled lake on your left.

Pass a large gully on right side (the left is full of vertical rocks). Then after a long flat traverse a "Giant Halfpipe" begins (1h30min from Chamois). Follow this kind of Halfpipe until Col di Nana is reached (2775 mt.).

From Col di Nana, forward N direction to NE Trecarè shoulder and ridge. This site is very steep. Please check for secure snow condition! Crampons may help in early spring season to get to the top. Pay attentions: rocks are slippery.

Avalanche dangers can also arrive from Becca di Nana W side.

Ascent exposition: W (lowest) and S mainly.

Essential Gear

Classic ski-mountaineering. Crampons may help if NE ridge is icy.
