Overview

Over 2900 mts, the Ibon de...Tebarray
The peak Tebarray is one of the most interesting mountains of valley of Tena because it’s an easy peak in a place that’s surrounded for harder mountains as Picos del Infierno, Llana Cantal or Gran Facha. For this reason it’s one of the best options to know the area if you don’t want to climb exposed ridges and chimneys because the ascension is only a walk-up in a nice place with beautiful lakes and spectacular peaks. I think that not all the people can reach the summit of harder peaks as Balaitous, Facha or Picos del Infierno and it’s necessary to show another easier option in the area without sections of rock-climbing. Therefore it’s a little long because the trailheads are far but you can reach the summit after 4 or 5h.

Routes to the summit
:
-From Balneario de Panticosa (1,630m): across the nice lakes of Bachimaña and Ibones azules. It’s the same approach to Picos del Infierno to col of Infierno. It’s my favourite option to enjoy of this peak specially at late Spring when it remains some of snow around the cols and lakes (it’s not necessary generally the use of crampons except in early season)

-From La sarra (1,438m) passing Respomuso: across Ibon de campoplano leaving the route to Gran Facha in this place turning to reach the col of Tebarray. In this route you have the Refugio de Respomuso (2,150m) in the half. The use of the refuge is not necessary for the climb but if you’re there after the climb of other peaks you can visit Tebarray easily in a morning (though my favourite peak is Llana Cantal, that’s not yet in SP but it has a section of rock-climbing of grade II).
