Overview

It's not really a new route since from the Collado de Señal is the same itinerary that the normal route but the beginning of the walk requires sufficient knowledge for be not mistaken.

Getting There

See the main page to approach to Plan and track of Biados. In the last bifurcation (10 km from the beggining of the track) we'll leave the track to Biados (signal, right) and we'll follow to left direction to the end of the track in the free hut of Tabernés (1750m).
In winter generally the track it's closed many days for the snow and you must to walk to the hut.

Route Description

We'll leave the refuge in north direction descending to the river (left) following a narrow but good path. It's the same to the evident great col of north, the Puerto de la Pez. The walk go near of the river Cinqueta de la Pez in the middle of the valley.

After of the pint where's we'll leave the signal to Puerto de la Madera (and Culfreda or Batoua) in the path of left side we'll reach a great plain and after a new bridge we'll see the most important point of the route, we'll leave the path and the route of Puerto de la Pez in the tower of Pluviometro (apparatus to measure the quantity of rain, signaled with some cairns).
We'll entry in the ravine of Bachimala and after a short walk we reach a little hut (Cabanne of Bachimala). The path go to east (right), we don't take another path to north to the Lakes (Ibones) of Bachimala.
Finally we exit of the ravine in the Collado de Señal (2500m).
From here follow the normal route from Biadós to the summit.

Essential Gear

Crampons and ice-axe in winter. The ski cross county it's a good option as well in winter.
