Approach
Follow the directions on the main Mount Price page to the Lyons Creek Trailhead. Follow this trail up Lyons Creek for about 4.5 miles to a trail junction. Take the left hand fork towards Lyons Lake (NOT the right hand fork to Lake Sylvia).
Route Description
From the trail junction, climb steeply up to Lyons Lake, and skirt the lake on its western shore. Follow the inlet stream up towards the saddle between Mount Price and Peak 9,640'+ to the west. Before you get to this saddle, start angling upwards to climber's right up moderately steep slopes. Eventually the angle will ease off and you will have
a gentle climb up the last few hundred feet to the summit. Mount Agassiz is easily climbed with Mount Price from Lyons Lake as a combined outing.
