Route Description

The South Ridge Route ascends directly up Pete Creek to about 9400 feet where you will begin your ascent on the scree. This is a different type of scree than most peaks (Harder packed)

Follow the basin due north towards the first false summit. After you clear the outcroppings your best bet is to head NE towards the saddle at 11,400.

From there you can gain access to the ridge and follow it back to the true summit that is tucked in behind the other small peaks.

Roundtrip it is about 7 miles and you will ascend about 4,500 vertical feet

Essential Gear

TREKKING POLES!
They will save you for this particular peak, due to the nature of the rock and all of the stream crossings you will encounter.
