Spring in the Smokies

I'm most often in the Smokies in March. There's already an album showing that month's dramatic mix of scenery, from snow and ice to daffodils and raging torrents.

In April, the daffodils are gone but other wildflowers arrive. We saw some snow patches up high, and the Clingman's Dome Road is still closed. But spring is definitely here.

If you have pictures of the Smokies that you have label as April pictures, please feel free to attach here.

Great Album

The Smokies have a wonderful charm in April. The unobstructed views to the ridgelines are wonderful, as they start getting blocked come May, as you well know.

I have quite a few pics from some April trips. I'll look through them and attach as appropriate.

Heading there in 4 weeks. Thanks for the inspiration.

Very nice

Spring is definitely the best month for wildflowers in the Smokies...at least below 5,000 feet.

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
