Approach
From the Twin Lakes Trailhead (described on the main Mount Price page), follow the well marked and maintained trail to Twin Lakes (about 3 miles). Continue on the trail past Twin Lakes towards Island Lake. At a point about halfway between the lakes, start climbing up to the right on the gentle slopes leading up to the base of the NW Face of Mount Price.
Route Description
From the Twin Lakes/Island Lake area, head SE into the huge bowl leading down from Mount Price's summit. This bowl is very easy to ascend. Simply aim for the summit. As you get to about 9,600', the slope steepens and the difficulty increases considerably, as there are some very large talus blocks to negotiate up the remainder of the face. Careful routefinding through this section will keep the difficulty to easy Class 3 (the easiest route directly up the face is probably right up the middle of the face, moving a little bit left of center towards the North Ridge as you near the top). If you are more confident on rock, aim left for the knifelike North Ridge of Mount Price. If you want to keep the difficulty to an absolute minimum, head to climber's right and gain the West Ridge leading up to the summit from the saddle between Price and Peak 9,640'. This route is an easy walk up once you gain the ridge.
