When I was up there a few weeks ago I kept thinking to myself "What kind of person would try to climb this in a day from the valley floor". Your inclusion of history and description of comparable gains makes this report one step above the rest.
The pics and your trip report made for a great read. Congrat's on pulling off a terrific adventure. I've done the peak from the campground and that was enough adventure for me. Thanks for sharing.

Grand Report
Is there some easy way that I can email this trip report to fiends ? I screw up every time I try to site www. addresses . Thanks.
I absolutely loved your pictures and you did a fantastic job on the TR! I appreciate the time you took to write this... I'm amazed at the vertical gain, that's a solid day!
I admired Telescope peak during my two day trips to Death Valley and fancied about climbing the top. But its more than a 6 hours trip from Munich/Germany :-) Great hike + TR!! Michael
I really enjoyed reading about your adventure. Telescope was always on my list when I lived in California and I have great memories of Death Valley. Quite the mystical place that valley is. It sounds like you did not see a single person the whole day, complete isolation in a National Park, awesome.
your trip report. We climbed Telescope Peak last August and enjoyed it greatly. Your photos are very nice as well. Hope to read more of your adventures on SP in the future.
Really enjoyed this TR!! Love history and to me thas what made it sweeter. Have a Telescope hike planned for mid March but I think I'll take the road more traveled (Mahagony Camp) than less. You went into beast mode!! I like that, cheers
Great TR, enjoyed reading it and enjoyed the pics.
You've got some great images in this TR. Why not select one as the primary image? It serves as a sort of quick-view "thumb-nail" for the entire report when it appears in searches.
Lary, I know (think?) you're kidding. :) I like to help people optimize their pages. This is a gold-star TR. Having a missing primary photo was like a pimple on a beauty pageant winner!
Looks like he's added a primary photo - just knocking this TR out of the park!
I enjoyed your report very much and also enjoy the reports via the links you provided to your blog (the R2R2R and the Zion ulra trail hike). Amazing accomplishments!

Amazing Report
Congrats on doing such a tough out and back. I'm looking to do Telescope in mid-March, it's nice to see the snow conditions will be light.

Fascinating ..Think I was most intrigued by Charles Manson , and his association
with the drummer of the Beach Boys. Isolation is a GREAT hide-out!
By the way, what kind of mountain bike do you ride?

Re: Fascinating ..I ride an '09 KHS Team. Good bike, but the frame began cracking. Waiting to hear back from KHS about a warranty replacement.
