Route Description

The climbing
There are two areas on Lions Head, the first being the sandstone area comprising of the actual Lions Head peak itself and the other being the granites which are located at the foot of the mountain on the Atlantic side. The Granites are a personal favourite, the rock is clean with cracks running up. Some routes are equipped with bolted belay stations.

Essential Gear

Standard trad rack if there for the trad climbing, else standard sport gear. Some of the sport routes on the granites require a 60 meter rope.
