Overview

This is the shortest route to climb Bardamina but the route is not always easy to follow because you generally don't find anyone in this route (all the people climb Posets).

Time: 4h

Getting There

The refuge Angel Orus is reached after 1h and half of walk-up from Cascada de la Espigantosa. The entry to trailhead is a small road in the village of Eriste.

Route Description

We begin in Angel Orús following from the hut the same route to Posets walking over the rocky terraces until an important crosspath with signals of G.R.-11. We leave the route of Posets and collado de Eriste turning to right in direction to Collado de la Piana and refugio de Estós. We descent to cross the river and we follow the paint red and white to the lakes of Alforjas. We follow to North to Ibon de Abaixo turning to left after the lake entering to a small valley at S.E. of our summit. We walk in direction to the rocky spun of left side of the valley with Bardamina always present at the end of the valley. Over the spun we reach the bottom of the peak. This last part is very steepy among the stones but it don't has complications using the hands (F) to reach the shoulder East of the peak. We walk now to left to arrive to the nice summit with excellent panorama presided by the big peak of Posets.

Essential Gear

A map and compass. In early spring is necessary the use of crampons and ice-axe in the steepy South face.

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
