MVS: Thanks for the insight and advise on dealing with the aftermath of your fall. I took a 60 footer in the Pickets this summer, and am still recovering both mentally and physically. Luckily, I was the only one injured, but I have been struggling with whether or not I want to continue mountaineering, at least on that level.
Absolutely. Was this on Mt. Terror? Wherever it was, I'm so glad you are recovering. You should definitely feel free to explore other ways of spending your free time. Explore, and pursue what you find most beautiful. Thanks for writing!

I read this once when you first posted it here. I am glad you shared this with SP. It is a good reminder of how fragile we are and how small mistakes can have big consequences.
