Sumo

Update: I bought a pair of beefier boots (Garmont Gara), and they indeed have enough strength to drive these heavy skis. Fun skis on most resort conditions; I'm still waiting for some nice powder and nastier stuff before making a final judgment.

I'm tempted to say "Insufficient data" on these before writing a review. My impression of these skis is "heavy". Heavy for touring, and tough to steer with a pair of light boots (I'm currently on Garmont Veloce). On the hardpack, they really like short- to medium-radius turns, which can be quite fun. I have not gotten much powder skiing in this year, save some fun cruisers in the trees. I was hoping for more floatation; these suckers really wanted to sink!

At this point, I prefer my old Tua Sauvages (no longer made), which have limited sidecut and are nice and light.
