I love this pack

I use this pack for a lot of reasons. In the winter it is great for gear intensive day trips to overnight trips. In the summer months, this pack could easily go for 5+ days if going ultralight!

The suspension on this pack works extremely well supporting loads of over 40 lbs with decent comfort. Taking the suspension out of the pack converts the pack into a great summit pack. loose the hip belt and lid along with the suspension and you drop a whole pound off the weight!

The material is thin and will probably wear out a lot faster than other burlier materials, but the weight savings makes up for the durability in my opinion. I have no problem being a little more careful with this pack to make it last longer. But with that said, I've hauled this a couple of times and it still looks great!

The hip belt can be replaced with a webbing only hip belt which drops even more weight! Tool and crampon attachments are simple and do their job well.

This is a simple backpack that carried weight well and climbs well when stripped. Black diamond skipped all the complicated features of other packs to create a tube that eats gear and climbs ice sock and snow confidently.
