I bought this parka in 2001 and have used it on Rainier, Hood, Kili, Aconcagua, Denali and many other peaks. I wore it on Mt Washington in mid January when it was -4 degrees (F) with 40 MPH winds. It has kept me warm on every single trip and has proven itself to be quite durable over the years.

The Parbat has an over-sized hood to fit over a helmet. The pockets on the inside are deep enough to hold water bottles.

It's a great parka and a great value if you look at cost vs warmth vs weight. Perfect for winter climbs within the continental US and Europe.

I bought this parka a size too big so that it fits over every piece of clothing that I might have on, even my gortex jacket.

The elastic cuffs make it a breeze to put on over lots of clothing and thick mitts. The extra large hood fits over any headwear including helmets.

The inside pockets are great for large water bottles and the zipper easy to use with gloves on.

Although mine isn't the membrane Parbat is still works well in dry, cold high altitude environments.

It also makes one awesome feather pillow.
