The old saying "you get what you pay for" certainally applies here. The good thing about this balaclava is its price. The performance is lacking big time. First, it is not wind resistant at all. It also makes my head itch when I sweat, because their is no liner in it. If it is cold and windy, you might as well not put it on at all.

Another bad thing is that their is no breathing hole or vents for your mouth. Also, the neck is way to big and gets in the way.

I would strongly recommend not purchasing this.

The Price is Right !!! and I got mine for $5. It seems to work for me. It keeps my wool hat from getting my forehead itching and scratching, and it keeps me remarkably warmer. I found the neck to be "generous", but that is a welcome feature. It is always in the pocket of my shell; it weighs about nothing and lacks any bulk. It is always a welcome feature to have when the weather turns colder than I migh have expected. $5 is a great price for a good item !!!!!
