I use this for my crag pack. It's also been on a couple of alpine routes. Mine has been through the mill and still going strong. I like the see through panel under the hood. If it had a bladder pocket it would be perfect. Luckily, the front pocket is large enough for a bladder. Be careful, though... you can puncture your bladder with items from the main compartment because only mesh separates the two.
