The Freney XT is THE boot for modern mixed and vertical ice lines. Made entirely of synthetic materials, this technical boot is extremely light, totally rigid and offers great cuff flexibility. The Freney XT is significantly lighter than similar models, making it a great option for climbers tackling long, difficult alpine routes. With a rigid sole that’s based on the Cumbre sole design, the Freney XT provides the foot with a generous surface area for grip and stability, while still remaining sensitive enough for technical climbs. PrimaLoft® insulation is backed with generous padding for comfort and protection.

Quality for Ice
I needed a new pair of ice boots and these have fit the bill perfectly. Rigid yet with a flexible cuff, the Freney allows precision footwork on delicate ice features and on rock. I also find them more then warm enough, though I have not yet taken them out in really cold weather. I have normal size width/volume feet and they fit perfect. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Good Gear
Bought a second hand pair yesterday, walked 13 miles (21 km) in them plus some mixed climbing today. No blisters, dry warm feet, love 'em!
