This chair conversion kit provides maximum comfort, convenience, and protection. Just insert your Therm-a-Rest mattress and that’s that. No additional assembly or disassembly is required to convert from sitting to sleeping or packing. Simply unbuckle the side straps and the mattress unfolds to lie flat for sleeping. To pack up, pull out the support stays, then roll up the mattress and chair together. At all times the mattress remains completely encased and protected. Made with a soft nylon taslan top and durable nylon oxford bottom. Available in three sizes to accept 20-inch wide Therm-a-Rest mattresses.

Concur fully with William--this is the greatest backcountry convenience since...well, Thermarests themselves!
The design of this this is pretty good. I'd be hard pressed to find any way to decrease either the weight or the size without compromising strength. But on the other hand, I don't charge $50 for the thing! 18 ounces is pretty heavy.
Personally, I like put the chair inside my thermarest when I roll it up. It helps me squeeze nearly all of the air out of the mattress.

A Wonderful Device !! Lightweight, easy to pack and allows you to sit down ( other than cross-legged) Makes camping fun !! Better than sitting on a stump, you can rock in it, slounge in it and even nap in it. AND THEY ARE MUCH BETTER THAN Crazy Creek Chairs!! This device is the greatest idea since the Original Thermarest itself. !!!! Its an indispensible item for any one who camps. We've used it on the beach, in the woods and on the rocks!!!! The only drawback that we've encountered is the PRICE$$$...if they were cheaper, I'd buy more.......

I agree with all the other reviews. This things is great and very comfortable! Just like mpbro, I don't notice the extra weight or space when I roll it up with my sleeping pad.

Great item
Very comfortable chair, but a little on the heavy & expensive side. It doesn't get out very often anymore because I hardly ever use my Therma-rest anymore... I now use a Big Agnes Insulated Air Core mattress.
