Now for something new...The company has a great customer service, they called me a couple of days after my order to apologize that they would ship them one (!) day later than the order confirmation said. Also to ask how I found out about them and if I had seen them up close. Upon me saying that I took a chance, the man said that if I didn't like them I could return them, no questions asked!
I didn't have the chance to swing them into water ice, as I got them a bit late in the season. However in alpine ice and dry-tooling I loved them (I have the ice picks on so I was gentle on them). They are very well balanced and rigid. I like the many clipping options. They plunge reasonably well in snow. The hammer is a bit awkward (as in most tools of this type) but it works.
