Crestone 1

The Kelty Crestone is about as lightweight as you get with tents. It weights under 4 lbs. packed with tent, fly, and footprint. At only $100 for the tent and rainfly and an additional $25 for the footprint it is a great value. This tent is easy to set up and easy to pack which is good for light and fast travelers. Well ventilated, it works great for me in Texas because I can use it in all 4 seasons in the South even though it is a 3-season tent. The best feature about the Crestone is that it is a durable and ultralight tent for a good value.

I'm always playing beat the clock trying to tag a peak after work before the sunsets. This little guy weighs in at just over 3lbs and if you can forgo the rainfly and swap the stakes you can nudge it to almost no weight at all. It is not freestanding but a stake in the front and rear keep it in place. It's really quick to assemble, the fly snaps into place, there is ton of ventilation and you can almost sit up inside. It's a nice solo tent and at under $70 it was a steal.

Its perfectly easy to set up in a hurry, and because it is so lightweight and packable, its great for backpacking
I only wish that the fainfly was a little bigger, becasue it doesn't seem to cover the very bottom of the tent's sides. Overall it is very well made.
