This lightweight headlamp is designed to perform in cold-weather--a separate battery pack lets you keep batteries away from power-robbing cold

Not a bad little headlamp, although I would replace the 4.5v battery and get the AA adapter with some lithium batteries for cold weather use and to increase battery time. During a night climb in a blizzard, I managed to get a good 6 hours out of my battery....



I definitely like the velcro battery pouch......far easier to negotiate with frozen fingers than Petzl's rubber sealing system for the battery as found on the Zoom.



The halogen light is very bright....more than adequate for night hiking, climbing, etc.
